Wendl & Lung was founded in Vienna in 1910 by the merger of piano makers Johann Wendl and Stefan Lung. In 1926, the production figure of 1000 units was exceeded and the company’s location was moved from Ägidigasse 6 to Mariahilfer Strasse 101, where Wendl & Lung had its headquarters until 2004. A specialty of Wendl & Lung was the production of small instruments with great sonority.
Since 2010 Wendl & Lung has been producing under the name of the traditional German brand Feurich. A year later, the first joint presentation of all models took place at the Frankfurt Music Fair, and since 2012 the worldwide brand rights to Feurich have belonged to the Vienna-based company Feurich Pianoforte Wendl & Lung GmbH.
